South Africa – A World in One Country – Sept/Oct 2013
I had asked South African friends what there was to see in South Africa. I already knew it had a rich history, but I wondered what was it about South Africa that could tempt a North American traveler to fly so far.
They said one word: Safari!
That sealed it for me and South Africa was that and so much more. The tour name – A World in One Country – truly applies to South Africa. From gorgeous farmland to mountains to desert to jungle, it has it all. The rich history, amazing people, fabulous scenery and more animals that I knew existed. And a five day extension to Victoria Falls and Chobe National Park was the cherry on top.
Despite a bit of a snafu on my arrival, this turned into one the best tours I’ve ever done and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
I wrote this tale as I travelled so it is very detailed (and might have a few typos that I’m slowly getting around to fixing).
