Trafalgar Tours’ Contrasts of Scandinavia and Russia – May/June 2010
This tour is no longer offered by Trafalgar but follows very closely to the current Capitals of the North tour. The major difference is that Contrasts of Scandinavia took the train between the cities whereas the Capitals of the North goes by bus. I notice many of the hotels are the same. When I started traveling again in 2009, Japan was at the top of my list, so I was delighted when Trafalgar introduced this tour in 2013. I had a choice between the 10 day tour which ends in Kyoto or the 14 day one that includes a night in a monastery as well as a visit to Hiroshima via the bullet train. The Best of Greece and 7 Day Aegean Cruise offered by Trafalgar Tours is actually two tours combined – the Best of Greece and the Aegean Odyssey. In February, 2014, I took Trafalgar Tours’ Patagonian Grand Adventure. Since then, the tour has been divided into other tours with the Buenos Aires/Bariloche portion incorporated into South American Landscapes and the southern portion is now The Wonders of Patagonia.
This was a new tour for Trafalgar, and the moment I saw it pop up in the brochure for the first time, I knew I had to do it.
