Insight Vacations’ Wonders of the American West
I made a quick visit to the canyonland area in 1991 but have always wanted to go back. Insight’s Wonders of the American West was one of the more comprehensive tours offered of the area that I could find and hit all the spots I wanted to see – Moab, Arches, Monument Valley, Bryce Canyon, Zion Canyon, and of course, the Grand Canyon. Trafalgar Tours’ Contrasts of Scandinavia and Russia – May/June 2010
This tour is no longer offered by Trafalgar but follows very closely to the current Capitals of the North tour. The major difference is that Contrasts of Scandinavia took the train between the cities whereas the Capitals of the North goes by bus. I notice many of the hotels are the same. Jordan Experience
In December, 2009, I took Insight Vacations’ Jordan Experience following a week in Israel on Insight’s Israel Discovery. It’s a short tour with the primary focus on Petra. I was lucky enough to decide to spend the one free day between the two tours in Amman instead of Jerusalem as this gave me the opportunity to see a part of Jordan not included on the tour. Splendors of Japan with Hiroshima
When I started traveling again in 2009, Japan was at the top of my list, so I was delighted when Trafalgar introduced this tour in 2013. I had a choice between the 10 day tour which ends in Kyoto or the 14 day one that includes a night in a monastery as well as a visit to Hiroshima via the bullet train. The Best of Greece and 7 Day Aegean Cruise offered by Trafalgar Tours is actually two tours combined – the Best of Greece and the Aegean Odyssey.
